Practising English pronunciation through books
Pronunciation practice is easier to sustain when a child briefly copies a sound in a meaningful sentence and then reads on. The goal is intelligibility and confidence, not perfection.

Practise sounds in the story
Choose one useful word that repeats or matters to the meaning. Read it in the sentence, let the child copy briefly, and reread the page. Pronunciation then remains part of the story rather than a separate drill.

Correct one thing at a time
Several sounds may differ in one sentence, but correcting all of them at once is rarely useful. Choose a sound that affects understanding or returns throughout the book. Reading Hour models it naturally and moves on before the story loses momentum.

British English is one valid model
Reading Hour provides a British English model. That does not make American or other English varieties wrong. When a difference matters, explain it simply and let the child hear one consistent, natural model in the session.
